About Dr. Kazuki Takada

Kazuki Takada, MD, is a provider of internal medicine and rheumatology services for patients throughout the Metropolitan Tokyo area. At Park East Clinic Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Dr. Takada offers expert medical care for various rheumatic, autoimmune, and systemic inflammatory conditions, as well as internal medicine diseases.

After receiving M.D. from Kyushu University School of Medicine in 1994, Dr. Takada completed one-year super-rotating internship at United States Naval Hospital in Yokosuka and one-year internal medicine residency training at Kameda Medical Center in Japan. He then moved to the United States in 1996 and completed a three-year internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York, and a three-year rheumatology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. During the fellowship, Dr. Takada engaged in observational as well as investigational clinical research in rheumatoid arthritis, lupus nephritis, and dermatomyositis.

Dr. Takada returned to Japan in 2002 and had served as a full-time faculty staff of Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). Besides providing rheumatology ambulatory care at TMDU hospital, Tokyo Midtown Clinic in Roppongi, and Karuizawa West General Hospital in Nagano, Dr. Takada engaged in investigational clinical research with a specific focus on interstitial lung diseases associated with idiopathic inflammatory myositis over the first 10 years, and in curricular reform and university internationalization in the second 10 years of his career at TMDU. Throughout his career at TMDU, he also served as a teaching professor and received numerous awards for his excellence in teaching from graduating classes and from the university.
